Grace i. Basilio-Soong
Grace I. Basilio-Soong is the daughter of Zonta member Concepcion “Nonie” T. Basilio. Grace joined Zonta in 2022 while she was living in Pittsford, NY and attends Zonta meetings through Zoom and other online media. She is married to Zosan S. Soong, a patent attorney with Xerox Corporation in Webster, NY. Grace has two children, Taylor, who graduated with a BA degree in Religious Studies, and Victoria, who graduated with a BS degree in Nursing and Public Health.
Grace has excellent communication and tele-marketing skills. She volunteered to create and manage Zonta Club of Manila Foundation Inc’s website. While working at Amica Insurance Company, she was the top sales representative of Amica’s North East division for several years. She successfully turned two money-losing businesses into profitable ventures with Sunrise Cafe and Xtreme Fitness when she purchased and managed those businesses in 2000 and 2006, respectively. Grace is outstanding at event planning due to her catering experience at Sunrise Cafe. She catered conventions and meetings at Rochester General Hospital where Sunrise Cafe was located. She has the ability to multi-task and back up all aspects of business operations when employees are unavailable.
Grace spends half the year in Pittsford, NY with her husband, and the other half in San Juan City, Philippines with her parents. Grace enjoys baking, walking her dogs, cooking, website building, watching theater productions and growing indoor plants.
